New Carpet.

    Yesterday we got our new carpet for the living room and the master bedroom. I can't tell you how nice it was to have it installed. We have not had a decent nights rest since we moved here last month. As we have told most everyone the house was not as move in ready as we expected, and we have been doing everything possible to clean it up and get it into shape.
    The carpet is a very light green and we love it. When the new furniture gets here, it is going to be awesome. Our next important thing to do is to buy and install new window treatments. We have looked at and plan to purchase some new burlap drapes and Roman style shades for the bay windows in the living room. We are considering just shades on the remaining windows in the dining room but they will be next.
    In the next week we will be looking for auctions in the area. We need some end tables, dressers, chest of drawers, dining room chairs and various other furnishings. For those that don't already know, my mother owned Gresham's Lake Antique Mall. I used to love going to antique auctions with her. That will be the one major thing I miss most about my mother.
    I hope someday someone will miss something like that about me. I often wonder what if anything I have passed on to others in my life that they themselves will enjoy when I am no longer around. I am going to start thinking more about that.
